Bunning Says No to Struggling Families
Bunning Says No to Struggling Families
Frankfort, April 2, 2008-Recognizing the crisis facing working families
across the nation, the US Senate came together yesterday in a
bipartisan fashion to bring a bill to the floor which will provide
relief to the almost 8000 American Families who face foreclosure daily.
Kentucky Republican Senator Jim Bunning was the only member of the
senate who chose to turn his back on so many Americans in a time of
need, resulting in a 94-1 vote to end debate and move forward with a
plan.
"This is indicative of Senator Bunning's lack of appreciation for the
plight of working families across the nation," said Kentucky Democratic
Party Chair Jennifer A. Moore. "Ninety-four senators came forward to
put aside partisan politics in an attempt to find a resolution for this
crisis; Senator Bunning once again put politics before people."
