Bevin Campaign Calls Minimum Wage Increase A "Disaster"

In response to Jenean Hampton's statement at tonight's University of Kentucky Lt. Governor's Debate that a minimum wage increase would be a "disaster," Kentucky Democratic Party spokesman David Bergstein issued the following statement. According to the Bluegrass Poll, Kentuckians "overwhelmingly" back an increase in the minimum wage:
"Matt Bevin is a hedge fund millionaire who enriched himself through a taxpayer funded bailout while refusing to pay his own taxes -- but that isn't stopping his campaign from vigorously attacking a minimum wage increase that would put more money in the pockets of hardworking families. It's just more proof that Kentuckians cannot trust an 'East Coast Con Man' like Bevin to serve as our governor."
Previously, Bevin stated that he was "absolutely, adamantly" opposed to increasing the minimum wage.
