KY Dems Release 1st Digital Ad: "Pathological"
Posted July 08, 2015
Today the Kentucky Democratic Party is launching its first digital advertisement in Kentucky's gubernatorial race: "Pathological."
The spot highlights Matt Bevin's long record of dishonesty and deceit, including: his lies about his taxes; his attendance at a pro-cockfighting rally; his false claim that he attended MIT; and his recent "possible ethics violation" for failing to disclose controversial companies on state documents. Kentucky Republicans have even labeled Bevin a "pathological liar" and an "East Coast Con Man."
"Matt Bevin's flagrant dishonesty, deceit and self-interested political agenda is exactly why Kentuckians cannot trust him to look out for us as governor," said Kentucky Democratic Party Chairman Patrick Hughes. "Whether Bevin is lying about his taxes or his attendance at a cockfighting rally, Republicans were absolutely right when they labeled him an 'East Coast Con Man' and a 'Pathological liar.' And until Bevin stops stubbornly hiding his tax returns, his campaign will continue to be dogged by one simple question: what else is Bevin hiding?"
This first digital ad campaign will target voters across Kentucky who are beginning to engage with information about the gubernatorial campaign and candidates through social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.
