Kelly Caudill Nominated for 27th District Senate Seat
Over 100 Democrats turned out this morning to nominate Kelly Caudill as the Democratic Party's candidate for the special election in the 27th Senate District recently vacated by Rowan County Judge/Executive Walter Blevins. Caudill graduated from Georgetown College and received his law degree from the University of Kentucky.
“I am deeply honored and appreciative of the enthusiastic support given me by my fellow Democrats in the 27th district. I will work tirelessly to earn the support and trust of every voter of the 27th Senatorial District,” said Caudill after earning the nomination. “As State Senator I will work with our local and state officials to bring more jobs and investments to our region, expand education funding and give our teachers the resources they need to succeed in our classrooms, and look to bring our communities together to fight the scourge of drug abuse that is devastating our communities,” Caudill said.
Kelly Caudill resides in Maysville with his three children, Elizabeth, Will and Eva.
The special election will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. The 27th Senate District is comprised of Bourbon, Fleming, Harrison, Lewis, Mason, Nicholas, Robertson, and Rowan counties.
