KY Dems Release New Digital Ad: "Temperament."
Ahead of the debate in Kentucky’s gubernatorial race, today the Kentucky Democratic Party is a releasing a new digital ad: “Temperament.” The spot highlights Matt Bevin’s infamous temper and his well documented refusal to answer questions about his positions.
“Whether Matt Bevin is lying, snapping, whining or refusing to answer questions, it’s clear that he lacks the temperament and judgement to serve as Kentucky’s next governor,” said Kentucky Democratic Party Chairman Patrick Hughes. “Bevin himself said it best: his refusal to come clean with Kentuckians about his positions is a sign of ‘arrogance’ and ‘desperation’ — and it’s all the more proof that Kentuckians cannot trust an ‘East Coast Con Man’ like Bevin to lead Kentucky.”
The Lexington Herald-Leader’s Sam Youngman wrote that "Bevin is quick to anger, and that's never more true than when reporters are confronting him with fairly obvious inaccuracies or misstatements,” while The Courier-Journal’s Joe Gerth wrote that "Bevin’s epidermis is an onion skin.” During his 2014 campaign, Bevin said that ignoring reporters is a sign of "arrogance and frankly…a sense of desperation.’"
The ad campaign will target voters across Kentucky through social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.
