Bevin's Letter: "Repeal" The Medicaid Expansion
Posted September 17, 2015
FRANKFORT, KY -- Matt Bevin has been all over the map when it comes to Kentucky's Medicaid Expansion, claiming in the recent debate that he supports changing the system using waivers.
But, in a never before revealed fundraising letter, Bevin makes his position perfectly clear: he supports a full "repeal" of the Medicaid expansion, kicking nearly 500,000 Kentuckians off of their healthcare:
“Improving Kentucky healthcare and modernizing our children’s education. That means reforming medical malpractice laws, repealing obamacare’s medicaid expansion, and ending common core.”
"Republicans called Matt Bevin an 'East Coast Con Man' and a 'Pathological Liar,' but he can't deny what he put in print: Bevin supports a 'repeal' of Medicaid that would kick nearly 500,00 Kentuckians off of their healthcare," said David Bergstein of the Kentucky Democratic Party. "Whether Bevin is lying about his failure to pay his taxes, his positions on critical issues or breaking Kentucky's long and bipartisan tradition by hiding his tax returns, Kentuckians just can't trust Bevin to serve as our governor."
