Bevin Campaign Afraid to Debate Sannie Overly

In response to the Bevin Campaign filing a formal complaint to keep Republican Lt. Governor candidate Jenean Hampton from debating Sannie Overly at today's Operation Turnout Forum, Kentucky Democratic Party spokesman David Bergstein issued the following statement:
"After the last several Lt. Governor's debates it's no surprise that Matt Bevin's campaign doesn't want Sannie Overly on stage, because they still can't defend Bevin's lies about everything from his failure to pay his taxes to his positions on critical issues. Sannie cleared her schedule to participate in this debate -- but apparently the Bevin campaign is afraid to hear what she has to say. If Representative Overly was allowed on stage her message would have been very simple: Kentuckians can't trust an 'East Coast Con Man' like Bevin to serve as our governor."
Last week, the Bevin Campaign pulled out of an additional Lt. Governor's forum in Harlan.
