The Presidential Inauguration is always an exciting time for Americans to come together and celebrate the democratic process with a weekend full of fun festivities. Below are a few events that Kentuckians are hosting this year.

National Day of Service (Saturday)
President Obama believes that "the best ideas for changing the country have to take hold at the grassroots -- person to person, block by block." In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the President and First Lady have asked Americans to take part in a National Day of Service. Service events are being held all across the country on Saturday, and you can use this search form to find the event closest to you.
The Bluegrass Ball (Saturday)
The Kentucky Society of Washington is once again hosting their Bluegrass Inaugural Ball. The Ball will be on Saturday at the Marriot Wardman Park. Emceed by Phyllis George, the ball will include a bourbon tasting, dinner, and dancing.

Kentucky Democrats in Washington Reception (Sunday)
Join Governor Steve Beshear, First Lady Jane Beshear, Lt. Governor Jerry Abramson and Madeline Abramson, and Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes at the Kentucky Democrats in Washington Reception. The event will be held at the Four Points Sheraton on Sunday at 4pm.
