Office of Governor Steve Beshear
As governor, Beshear has helped restore public trust by creating a culture of integrity in state government that has included rooting out cronyism and implementing stronger ethics standards. He has also streamlined spending with a trimming of the state workforce, implemented a more efficient way of designing and building roads and won bipartisan support for a complex reform of the beleaguered public pension system.
Office of Congressman John Yarmuth
U.S. Representative John Yarmuth represents Kentucky’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. In his third term, Congressman Yarmuth was appointed to the Committee on Budget, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and the Committee on Ethics. He served as President of the Freshman Class, as Senior Whip, and was named 2007 Legislator of the Year by the Kentucky Reading Association, "Outstanding New Member of Congress" by the Committee for Education Funding, which is the largest non-partisan education organization in the nation, and "Best of Congress" by Working Mother Magazine and Corporate Voices for Working Families both in 2008 and 2010.
Office of Congressman Ben Chandler
Ben Chandler was first elected in a special election in February 2004 to represent Kentucky's Sixth District in the United States House of Representatives. In January 2007, Chandler was selected by his Democratic colleagues to serve on the coveted House Committee on Appropriations.
Kentucky Legislative Research Commission
Services LRC provides include: committee staffing, bill drafting, oversight of the state budget and educational reform, production of educational materials, maintenance of a reference library and Internet site, and the preparation and printing of research reports, informational bulletins and a legislative newspaper.
